CLASS OF 1945 ST. NICK'S
BILL TOBIN was born on Manhattan Island to Irish Catholic immigrant parents. He graduated with an advertising/marketing degree from Manhattan College. When he was a boy he discovered a "free" way to climb a secret staircase to the top of the Empire State Building. His first job in public relations was for a firm headquartered in the Empire State Building where he worked for nine years. That's why the iconic building is on the cover of his novel, SEAMUS O'FLYNN.  Bill married Anne O'Regan in Manhattan. They lived on East 75th St. in a rent-controlled 2 bedroom apartment with a fireplace. The rent was $296.48. The Tobins have four children, five grandchildren and five granddogs. Bill has been a life-long consultant in marketing/public relations.  He is published in two text books.
